How to convert JPG to PDF
- Add your images. Drag JPG, PNG or other images into the box, or tap Choose Images. Add more at any time.
- Arrange the pages. Drag the thumbnails, or use the arrows, to set the order. Each image becomes one page.
- Pick a page size. A4 is standard in most of the world, US Letter in the USA and Canada. Same as image makes each page exactly the size of its picture.
- Convert and download. Tap Convert to PDF and the file downloads straight away.
When to turn images into a PDF
A PDF looks the same on every device and keeps several pages together in one file. That makes it the format most offices, schools, banks and government websites ask for. Common uses:
- Sending photos of receipts, bills or ID documents as a single attachment
- Submitting scanned homework, certificates or application forms
- Sharing a set of photos or a portfolio in a fixed order
- Printing several pictures at a standard paper size
No quality loss
Many converters re-compress your photos, which makes them blurry. ConvertKettle places JPG and PNG images into the PDF exactly as they are. The only exception is a photo saved sideways with a rotation tag (common on phones). Those are turned upright first so the page isn't rotated.
Is the PDF too big to email or upload? Make the photos smaller first with Compress Image or Resize Image. iPhone photos in HEIC format need HEIC to JPG first.
Frequently asked questions
Is this JPG to PDF converter free?
Yes. It's free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of images.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The PDF is created inside your web browser, so your images never leave your device.
Will the PDF lose image quality?
No. JPG and PNG images are placed into the PDF as they are, without re-compressing them.
Can I combine several images into one PDF?
Yes. Add as many images as you like, put them in the order you want, and they become the pages of a single PDF.
How do I convert JPG to PDF on iPhone or Android?
Open this page in your phone's browser, tap Choose Images, pick your photos and tap Convert to PDF. The PDF is saved to your downloads.
US Letter or A4 – which page size?
In the United States and Canada, the standard paper size is US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches). Almost everywhere else uses A4 (210 × 297 mm), which is slightly narrower and taller. If you'll print the PDF in the US or send it to a US school, employer or government office, choose US Letter so nothing gets shrunk or cut off when printed.
Same as image makes every page exactly the shape of its photo. That's best for photo albums and portfolios that will only be viewed on screen.
Turn phone photos of documents into a clean PDF
- Lay the page flat on a dark, contrasting surface so the edges are easy to see.
- Use daylight or two lights from the sides to avoid the shadow of your phone.
- Hold the phone directly above the page, not at an angle, so the text isn't skewed.
- Crop away the background with Crop & Rotate before converting.
- Check the order in the preview above – page 1 should be the first thumbnail.
Common reasons to send a PDF instead of photos
Landlords, lenders, HR departments, schools and many state and federal agencies ask for documents as a single PDF. One file keeps pages in order, opens on every computer without special software, and prints at the right size. It's ideal for pay stubs, IDs, signed forms, receipts for expense reports and medical paperwork.
My PDF is too big to upload
Photos from modern phones are large, so a PDF of ten pages can easily pass 20 MB. Run it through Compress PDF, or make the photos smaller with Compress Image before converting. Already have several PDFs? Combine them with Merge PDF.
