Your PDF is split on your device and never uploaded.

How to split a PDF

  1. Add your PDF. Drag it into the box or tap Choose PDF. You'll see a preview of every page.
  2. Choose how to split it. Click the pages to keep, type ranges like 1-3, 4-8, or split every page or every few pages.
  3. Split and download. One new PDF downloads directly. Several come together in a ZIP.

When splitting a PDF helps

Typing page ranges

In By ranges mode, each comma starts a new file. In Pick pages mode, all pages go into one file, in page order.

What carries over

Each page keeps its text, images and layout, and the text stays selectable. Your new files may be close to the original's size, because pages often share fonts and images. Bookmarks don't carry over, and fillable form fields may stop working.

Need to go the other way? Merge PDF combines files into one. If pages are sideways, use Rotate PDF.

Frequently asked questions

How do I save just one page of a PDF?

Add your PDF, click the page you want so it's highlighted, then click Split PDF. You can also type the page number in the box.

Can I split a PDF into separate pages?

Yes. Choose Every page, and each page becomes its own PDF. They download together in a ZIP file.

Does splitting reduce quality?

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Not while it's protected. Remove the password in a PDF reader first, then add it here.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Splitting happens entirely in your browser, so your document stays on your device.
